Job summary

First Commonwealth Bank is seeking a Corporate Banking Portfolio Manager I—Commercial and Industrial to oversee a portfolio of corporate clients in partnership with Relationship Managers. You will analyze financials, monitor credit risk, and manage renewals and modifications to keep loans within risk appetite.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and 5–10 years of relevant experience, with travel as needed. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5–10 years of credit analysis and/or portfolio management experience required.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and travel, including overnight stays, required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent financial statement, covenant and collateral analysis for corporate clients.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to manage an assigned portfolio.
• Manage annual/interim reviews, covenant testing, renewals and modifications.
• Assist in cultivating new business opportunities from existing clients.
• Monitor performance vs. plan objectives and covenant compliance; report deterioration.
• Proactively manage renewals of maturing notes and commitments.
• Identify early warning signals of credit deterioration within the portfolio.
• Collaborate on risk mitigation strategies with RM and Credit Department.
• Prepare loan modification requests and related credit reports as needed.
• Ensure portfolio compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
• Formulate risk ratings and recommend actions to Credit Department.
• Track financial statements and assess borrower risk on an ongoing basis.
• Provide portfolio data for credit analyses and performance reports.
