Job summary

Santander in Madison, WI seeks a Corporate Banking Associate to build relationships with our highest value clients and deliver an exceptional customer experience designed to retain and grow our top customers.

You will collaborate with internal partners, leverage centralized credit support, expand share of wallet, and uphold risk management and regulatory compliance while driving referral opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of business products and services with strong business or commercial credit acumen.
  • Proven track record of sales and outside calling skills.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop strong customer and colleague relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively utilizes centralized credit support team for both new originations and portfolio management.
  • Develops a targeted COI (center of influence) list and builds a detailed plan to lead to referral business.
  • Builds a collaborative internal relationship with key partners; introduces top clients to appropriate specialists to deepen share of wallet.
  • Conducts joint calling and prospecting with specialists depending on situation.
  • Provides specific assistance to assigned internal partners for outside joint calling, technical questions related to larger deposit and loan opportunities, etc.
  • Utilizes sales tracking database to manage call/relationship management activities.
  • Practice sounds risk management protocols and adhere to internal and regulatory requirements.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
