Job summary

Varnum LLP seeks to hire an attorney to join the Corporate Practice Team in Michigan offices. The candidate will assist in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, and capital restructuring.

The ideal candidate has 5–12 years of law firm experience with first or second chair experience on transactions. Admission to the Michigan bar is required; relocation support is available for those moving to Michigan, and bar admission expenses are reimbursed.

We are seeking an attorney to assist the team in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, capital restructuring, and similar transactions. The ideal candidate will have 5 – 12 years of law firm experience, with demonstrated first or second chair experience on transactions required. Expertise is required in general corporate work, contract review and drafting, and merger and acquisition transactions.

Successful candidates will possess excellent academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding customer/client service skills. Admission to the Michigan bar is required. Candidates not licensed to practice in Michigan must be willing to become admitted to the Michigan bar. The firm will provide relocation support to candidates interested in moving to Michigan and reimburse expenses related to bar admission.
