Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a claims processing specialist to investigate and resolve billing dispute claims for corporate and government cardholders.

You will review new dispute cases, apply Visa and Mastercard regulations, analyze supporting documentation, and drive claims toward resolution while handling multiple priorities. You will work across several systems, coordinate with customers and merchants, and ensure timely processing.

Qualifications

  • Four years or more of operations services related work experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Description

This role supports the Corporate and Government Claims Processing team and is responsible for investigating and resolving billing dispute claims for corporate and government cardholders. The individual will review new dispute cases, apply Visa and Mastercard regulations to determine claim outcomes, analyze supporting documentation, and manage claims through resolution. Daily responsibilities include reviewing claim activity, handling merchant responses, contacting customers to obtain additional information when needed, preparing claim-related correspondence, and managing multiple priorities to ensure processing timeframes are met. The role requires working across several systems while balancing new case intake with follow-up work on existing claims.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years or more of operations services related work experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Knowledge of products, services, terminology, procedures and systems related to assigned area, as well as applicable laws and regulatory requirements
  • Proven commitment to high quality customer service
  • Ability to work well with external and internal customers
  • Good time management skills to maximize production and execution of tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding and knowledge of internal policies and procedures within Operations Services and enterprise wide
  • Physical requirements could include lifting trays of work, pushing carts of work, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve exceptions through data interpretation
  • Strong PC skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.38
