Job summary

Tanium is hiring a Corporate AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy enterprise‑grade AI solutions across the organization. This hands‑on role collaborates with IT, Security, Data, and Business teams to translate prioritized AI use cases into production capabilities.

The position follows a hybrid schedule with in‑office work at Addison, Bellevue, Durham, Emeryville, or Reston at least three days a week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• Experience building, integrating, or operating production systems in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on AI solutions experience including prompt engineering, embeddings, or RAG with leading AI technologies.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, MCPs, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Working knowledge of AI-related risks including data security, privacy, model limitations, and cost considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions aligned to prioritized use cases.
• Implement AI workflows, integrations, and automations across enterprise platforms (e.g., M365, Salesforce, ServiceNow).
• Translate architectural designs and business requirements into working AI solutions, including prompt engineering, orchestration logic, retrieveal augmented generation (RAG) patterns.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data sources and systems of record, ensuring data quality and appropriate access.
• Own operational readiness of AI solutions, including monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
• Partner with Security, Privacy, and IT teams to ensure governance, risk, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and reusable implementation patterns.

The Corporate AI Engineer is a hands ‑ on technical role responsible for building, integrating, and operationalizing AI ‑ enabled solutions across the enterprise. What you'll do

We’re looking for someone with

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, data engineering,application management,or a similar hands‑on technical role.
• Demonstrated experience building, integrating, or operating production systems in an enterprise environment.
• Hands‑on experience implementing AI‑enabled solutions, including generative AI concepts such as prompt engineering, embeddings, or RAGwith best‑in‑class AI technologies from OpenAI, Anthropic, ServiceNow, Microsoft,etc
• Experience working with APIs, integrations,MCPs,and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Working knowledge of AI‑related risks, including data security, privacy, model limitations, and cost considerations.

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $154,000 to $200,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
