Job summary

RENOSY by Renters Warehouse is seeking a Corporate Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting across property lifecycles, from acquisition through renovation to sale. This role supports reporting to our Japan headquarters and investors, using U.S. GAAP as a reference point.

You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, and prepare consolidated statements while improving internal controls and processes. Strong IFRS/APAR experience and hands-on ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Practical experience with international accounting (IFRS, AP/AR, month-end close).
• Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries).
• Accounting for each stage of the property lifecycle: capitalization of acquisition costs, renovation costs, project cost allocation.
• Recording gain/loss on sale and processing closing statements.
• Monthly and quarterly closing (trial balance, account analysis).
• Preparing reports for Japan HQ (GAAP-to-Japan reporting).
• Assisting with cash flow management and vendor invoice processing.

As the business grows, we are looking for a professional to handle corporate accounting across the full transaction cycle - from property acquisition through renovation to sale. We are seeking someone with hands-on U.S. accounting experience who can also support reporting to our Japan headquarters and investors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day-to-day and month-end bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries)
• Accounting for each stage of the property lifecycle:
  • Capitalization of acquisition costs (real estate held for sale / inventoryaccounting)
  • Tracking and capitalizing renovation costs, and allocating projectcosts
  • Recording gain/loss on sale and processing closingstatements
• Monthly and quarterly closing (trial balance preparation, account analysis and reconciliation)
• Preparing reports for Japan HQ (translating U.S. GAAP-based figures into the format required by Japan-side reporting)
• Assisting with cash flow management (payment scheduling, cash needs forecasting)
• Vendor invoice processing and payment execution
• Supporting internal controls and process improvementinitiatives
• Other accounting-related tasks as directed by the CFO and management team

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
