Position Overview

The accountant position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and implementation of controls and budgets to mitigate risk, ensure accuracy, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable functions: invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, account reconciliation.
  • Routine journal entries and bank transactions entry.
  • Accounts payable bills and credit card transactions entry if needed.
  • Month-end closing and reconciliation.
  • Reconciliation, investigation, correction, and adjustment of accounting information.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Support for department peers as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

Ideal candidates will share and understand the high growth objectives of Mass Markets. Demonstrated experience in accounting is required. Candidates should exhibit good business judgment, confidence, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Ability to work across multiple business units is essential.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1-2 years of accrual accounting experience including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing, reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects.
  • Detail-oriented with proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, independently, and prioritize tasks.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

Physical Requirements
