Job summary

San Diego Bike & Kayak Tours, Inc. is seeking store personnel and tour guides for our Coronado location to lead bike and kayak tours, as well as stand-up paddle board lessons.

Applicants must be willing to do all tours and assist in the retail store with customer service, set up unguided bike rentals, assist with tour/rental check-in, merchandising, retail sales and general customer service. We prefer candidates that have weekend availability in addition to weekday available.

Qualifications

• Duties: Safely guide enjoyable bike and kayak tours with an emphasis on customer enjoyment, safety, relevant and thorough dialogue, and adapt to the day’s conditions/customer pool.
• Assist with loading/unloading kayaks and other equipment, set up unguided bike rentals, and general customer service.
• Guides will also assist in the retail store with retail sales, customer check-in, merchandising and general customer service.
• Prerequisites: California Driver’s License (and good driving record), CPR & First Aid certification.

Job Description

San Diego Bike & Kayak Tours, Inc. is seeking store personnel and tour guides for our Coronado location to lead bike and kayak tours, as well as stand-up paddle board lessons. Applicants must be willing to do all tours and assist in the retail store with customer service, set up unguided bike rentals, assist with tour/rental check-in, merchandising, retail sales and general customer service. We prefer candidates that have weekend availability in addition to weekday available. We are hiring for both full time and part time positions! Work outdoors in a fun, energetic environment at the Coronado Ferry Landing!

Ideal Candidate: energetic, athletic, water-savvy, surfing/boating/kayak experience, stand-up paddle board experience, ocean/water safety awareness and experience, bike experience, talkative, outgoing, leadership qualities, polite, well-spoken, good driving record, athletic, able to load kayaks safely/efficiently, responsible, bike enthusiast, educated, qualifying work experience.
