Job summary

Eyes On Eyecare in Albuquerque, NM seeks a full-time Corneal ACP Optometrist to provide advanced medical optometry with a focus on corneal disease and refractive surgery. Co-manage LASIK/PRK/ICL and other procedures, with a strong emphasis on patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited program.
• Residency or advanced training in cornea and contact lenses preferred.
• Current New Mexico optometry license or eligibility.
• TPA certification for treating ocular disease is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical optometry with emphasis on corneal disease and refractive surgery.
• Co-manage LASIK, PRK, ICL, DMEK/DSAEK, PKP, and pterygium excision.
• Manage ocular surface disease, keratoconus, infectious keratitis, and post-surgical complications.
• Fit specialty contact lenses (scleral, hybrid, RGP) as needed.
• Perform comprehensive medical eye exams and manage chronic ocular diseases.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists for coordinated care.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and long-term eye health.
• Maintain EMR documentation and participate in QA/meetings.
