Job summary

Brooks Eye Center in Las Colinas, TX seeks a Cornea Refractive Surgeon to join a modern ophthalmology practice. You will perform LASIK, PRK, cataract and transplant procedures, evaluating patients and developing treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide pre- and post-operative care, educate patients, and stay abreast of new corneal techniques and technologies in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology or eligible.
• Fellowship training or specialized experience in cornea and refractive surgery preferred.
• Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
• Proven experience performing a wide range of corneal and refractive surgical procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform corneal and refractive surgeries including LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and other advanced procedures.
• Evaluate patients’ eye health and vision to determine appropriate surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and clinical staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up assessments.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in corneal and refractive surgery techniques and technologies.
• Participate in community outreach and patient education initiatives as needed.
