UTHealth Houston’s McGovern Medical School seeks a Cornea/Anterior Segment ophthalmologist to join our growing academic department. Board-certified or eligible with fellowship in Cornea/Anterior Segment; ASCRS/AAO fellowship preferred.

Full-time appointment with clinical, research, teaching, and leadership opportunities in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. The successful candidate will develop a meaningful research program, teach residents and fellows, and may pursue leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Cornea/Anterior Segment required.
• Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.
• Texas medical license eligibility.
• Track record of scholarly activity; strong research preferred for senior ranks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a busy Cornea/Anterior Segment clinical practice at the Texas Medical Center.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities with departmental support.
• Teach and supervise ophthalmology residents and fellows.
• Participate in departmental leadership and educational activities.
• Collaborate across the department and with Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital residency program.
