Qualifications

• Read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical documents.
• Utilize inspection and measurement equipment (durometer gauges, micrometers, vernier tapes, dial indicators, profilometers).
• Understand basic math.
• Follow safe operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and materials.
• Safely locate and retrieve rolls to the roll prep area using cranes, forklifts, and handling equipment.
• Install and remove fixtures, expanding mandrels, plugs, and tools as required.
• Safely operate and maintain blaster, dust collection, air compressor, hand booth blaster, belt sander, and other equipment.
• Ensure bonding adhesives are agitated regularly per SOPs.
• Paint cores according to roller specifications and job card instructions with even bonding agent coverage.
• Prepare cores and journals for blasting and prep; protect prepped cores from contamination.
• Protect prepped cores from contamination.

Job description

Maxcess-Valley Roller is dedicated to the development and design of rubber-covered rollers for industrial applications since 1984.

Core Prep Specialist/Blaster

• Reading and interpreting production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and any other materials that summarize requirements for the preparation process.
• Safely locate and retrieve rolls to the roll prep area utilizing overhead cranes, forklifts, and various materials handling equipment.
• Install and remove any special fixtures, expanding mandrels, plugs, and other tools as required.
• Safely operate and maintain shop blaster equipment, dust collection, air compressor, hand booth blaster, industrial belt sander and other equipment as required.
• Ensure bonding adhesives are agitated regularly, per standard operating procedures.
• Paint cores according to roller specifications, job card instruction and specific department training with an even coat of bonding agents.
• Remove, Prepare, Protect and Clean cores and journals as required for their protection and preparation for blasting and core preparation.
• Protect prepped cores from contamination

Qualifications: Read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical documents. Utilize all inspection and measurement equipment, including durometer gauges, micrometers, vernier diameter tapes, dial indicators, profilometers, temperature-indicating devices. Understand basic math. Utilize safe operating procedures.

Physical Demands: Stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time. Reaches by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently.
