Job summary

Etched is seeking interns for a 12-week paid internship based in our San Jose, CA office. The role offers direct mentorship from industry leaders and world-class engineers, with housing support for relocated interns. Daily lunch and dinner are provided as part of the on-site program.

You will collaborate with the Core Operations team, tackle high-priority projects, and gain ownership across critical initiatives while shaping the direction of a startup at the frontier of hardware and AI inference.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS/CE/Stats/Applied Math or related field.
• Previous startup internship with high ownership and pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects end-to-end.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing environment.
• Strong synthesis and presentation of complex data.

Job Summary

The Core Operations team tackles critical challenges across the organization and works directly with our leadership team. We are looking for Fall '26, Spring '27, and Summer '27 interns.

This role requires business acumen, analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ownership of high‑priority initiatives. While your focus will shift over time, you will be working on the most important problems of today. It will be fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and offer opportunities to take on greater responsibilities while helping shape our company’s direction.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of high‑priority, high‑scope projects, ensuring measurable outcomes that align with the company’s objectives.

• Assist in preparing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to the leadership team through rigorous data analysis, identifying process gaps, and driving performance improvements across the business.

• Work cross‑functionally between the executive team and departments across the organization to track progress and ensure timely, high‑quality execution of key projects.

• Work with leadership to set and track key performance indicators, monitoring organizational performance and identifying opportunities for optimization.

You may be a good fit if you have

• Progress in a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.

• Previous internship experience in high‑ownership, high‑pressure roles within startup environments.

• Ability to support multiple concurrent high‑impact projects from inception to completion. Skilled in driving alignment across teams, ensuring accountability, and delivering results.

• Comfort with ambiguity and working within a rapidly changing environment with shifting priorities.

• Ability to quickly synthesize information, create compelling presentations, and parse complex data.
