Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Technologist in Miami Beach to perform essential laboratory tasks including Quality Control and ensure efficient operation of the Core Laboratory. Candidates must be licensed in Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, and Immunology by the State of Florida, and completion of a medical technology training program is mandatory. Qualifications

• Licensed in multiple laboratory disciplines, eligible in Florida.
• Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates at shift change and follows through on pending orders.
• Performs and documents Quality Control.
• Organizes work to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Maintains inventory of reagents/supplies for patient care.
• Teaches and trains staff as assigned.

Skills

Knowledge of basic quality control troubleshooting

Able to identify abnormal cells

Able to perform manual differentials in blood and body fluid

Knowledge of basic maintenance and instrument troubleshooting

Education

Licensed by the State of Florida in Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, and Immunology

Completion of training program in medical technology
