W2 Contract – Core Java Developer at Signature IT World Inc. Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Core Java
• Build and manage integration workflows with Apache Camel
• Develop and support event-driven and messaging solutions using Apache Kafka
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented Java code following best practices
• Participate in system design, performance tuning, and code reviews
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
• Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of strong experience in Core Java
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience with Apache Camel
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka
• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP), multithreading & concurrency, exception handling, and JVM concepts
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
