Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a driven Project Manager to join our Fort Myers office. You will manage project performance and profitability from day one, leading a team through estimating, scheduling, quality control, and coordination with owners and design partners.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or related field and 2–5 years of construction management or engineering design experience, with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field with 3.2 GPA minimum.
• 2–5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage project estimates, scheduling, quality control, and cost reporting.
• Develop preliminary concept drawings with owners and design team.
• Lead proposal meetings and value engineering discussions.
• Oversee buyout and subcontractor selection.
• Hold biweekly site meetings and ensure safety.
• Plan and manage multiple activities to meet client expectations.
• Adapt to changing project needs and ensure quality.
• Meet physical demands of site work as required.

A Day In The Life

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project including, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
• Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds

Necessary Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field; with a minimum of 3.2 GPA
• 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
