Description

Position Summary:

The Production Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for supporting manufacturing or production operations by performing routine tasks related to equipment operation, product assembly, packaging, and quality control. This role follows established procedures and works under direct supervision to meet production objectives while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates basic production equipment or machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Performs manual assembly, material handling, labeling, packaging, or related tasks as assigned.
  • Monitors equipment performance and notifies supervisor or maintenance personnel of any issues or irregularities.
  • Conducts visual inspections or in-process checks to verify product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Accurately records production data, equipment readings, and process observations as required.
  • Participates in routine cleaning, maintenance, or changeover procedures to maintain equipment readiness.
  • Adheres to all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP, ISO, etc.).
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborates with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives and meet production goals.
