Overview

IES is seeking two Copper Splicing Crew Leads to act as liaison between project managers and onsite technicians at the Data Center build site in Montgomery, AL. The role will help streamline construction and ensure high-quality splicing work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a crew of Level 1 and Level 2 technicians executing copper splicing and related installation tasks.
• Serve as the primary point of communication between on‑site crews, project managers and superintendent oversight.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality control standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Intermediate level experience with copper splicing (several years of hands‑on splicing under a lead). Experience as a lead is acceptable if splicing skills are strong.
• Must have performed copper splicing; fiber splicing experience is not sufficient.
• BICSI certification or a strong desire to obtain certification is a plus.

Skills

• Telecommunications management, quality control, specification document interpretation, installation, splicing, fiber splicing, copper splicing.
• Certifications: BICSI certified (preferred).
