Job summary

Exco Electric is seeking a Production Technician I to join our Egan, LA team. You will set up, operate, and maintain production equipment to manufacture and assemble a variety of commercial products, following blueprints and SOPs. Safety, quality, and teamwork are essential in this entry‑level role.

You will report any equipment issues, monitor production runs, and maintain accurate records while progressing through hands-on training in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year in manufacturing or production preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Basic understanding of mechanical processes and ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and operating instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work under close supervision, follow instructions, and learn quickly.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and handle materials.
• Good communication to interact with team members and supervisors.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and operate production machinery and tools according to specifications and work instructions.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment during shifts and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Monitor output for quality, report non-conformances or production concerns.
• Perform inspections and basic quality checks during and after manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation of quantities, downtime, and issues.
• Follow safety protocols and use of protective equipment; assist in cleaning and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and improve processes.
• Participate in training and safety meetings to stay informed.
