Lifepoint Health is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to develop and post nursing schedules, communicate changes, and serve as the central contact for call-offs and PTO.
You will monitor hours to limit overtime, enter payroll data, and collaborate with management to improve scheduling efficiency while supporting hospital operations and patient care.
Education: High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior experience scheduling/staffing experience required.
License: Valid driver’s license preferred

Prepares regular staffing schedules for nursing staff and posts schedule no less than two weeks prior to the start of the schedule.
Communicates schedule changes and other pertinent information to management and staff in a timely manner.
Serves as the central contact person for the nursing department for call offs, schedule changes, PTO scheduling.
Ensures coverage for both planned and unplanned schedule changes. Notifies appropriate management of discrepancies in staffing in a timely manner.
Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime.
Enters schedules/schedule changes into the payroll system.
Works with payroll to manage time entry to ensure proper and timely pay.
Works with management to maximize efficiencies in scheduling for the department.
Educates current and new staff on scheduling, communication methods and processes. For example, requesting time off, schedule changes, picking up shifts, holiday scheduling, etc.
Provides additional support to the hospital as directed.
