Responsible for the procurement and supervision of ushers for all theatrical performances open to the public. Oversees and supervises the opening night receptions and the front of house operations for the Trinity Theater season productions. Responsible for maintenance of Ruth Taylor Theater Box Office business records.JOB DUTIES
Responsible for the procurement and supervision of ushers for all theatrical performances open to the public including implementation and maintenance of lobby and foyer displays. Responsible for overseeing the Opening Night receptions; personal presence to greet public at all theatrical performances. Handles waiting lists and late comers expeditiously, as well as customer service issues before, during, and after performances. Supervises the Ruth Taylor theater Box Office procedures including training and oversight of personnel in matters of greeting the public.
Oversees and supervises the front-of-house operations for Trinity Theater season productions.
Responsible for the publicity and promotion of theatre programs and presentations, including the design of theatre productions posters and programs.
Responsible for maintenance of Ruth Taylor Theater Box Office business and attendance records.
Handles audition notices, written procedures, and audition cards.
Procures rights and scripts for productions.
Handless donations for the Trinity Theatre.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interact with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Preferred:
Master's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
1 month to 6 months experience.
Experience in fine arts activities, especially theatre productions; box office and house management, public, relations and publicity.
Experience in the supervision of personnel.
Preferred:
1 year to 3 years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
Knowledge of theatre front of house procedures.
Knowledge of cash handling/box office and ticketing procedures.
Ability to work with a diverse staff and theatrical crew.
Excellent copywriting and proof writing skills.
Outgoing and accommodating personality.
High level of organizational skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Paintshop Pro, InDesign, and other design software.
Marketing background.
