Job summary

St. Paul Parish in Combined Locks, WI invites a part-time Coordinator of Sacred Music to join our parish family. You will select, prepare, and lead sacred music for liturgies, coordinate volunteers, and direct the choir for weekends and Holy Days.

The right candidate will accompany on piano/organ, lead the choir, and work within the parish budget while collaborating closely with the Pastor and Diocesan leaders to deepen Eucharistic worship.

Qualifications

  • Possess piano and/or organ accompaniment and song leading proficiency.
  • Ability to lead and conduct a choir.
  • Understand the role of music within the Holy Mass.
  • Familiar with liturgical resources and working within a set budget.
  • Familiar with Breaking Bread hymnal and its online portal.
  • Collaborate with Pastor, staff, and Diocesan leaders.
  • Communicate regularly with volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Selecting and preparing sacred music based on liturgical rubrics and norms.
  • Coordinating and forming volunteer accompanists and cantors.
  • Directing the choir for rehearsals, weekend liturgies, and Holy Days.
  • Coordinating music for funerals and weddings.

St. Paul Parish is seeking a collaborative, Christ-centered missionary disciple to serve as part-time Coordinator of Sacred Music.

Ministry responsibilities include

  • selecting and preparing sacred music based on the liturgical rubrics and norms of the Catholic Church
  • coordinating, encouraging, and forming volunteer accompanists and cantors
  • directing the choir for rehearsals, weekend liturgies, and Holy Days
  • coordinating music for funerals and weddings
  • working in close collaboration with the Pastor to encourage a deepening understanding of Eucharistic worship for the parish community.

The right candidate will
