  • Demonstrate professionalism and reliability in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Complete any other requirements as requested by the dean

Summary

The nursing program lab coordinator supports the daily operationsof the nursing skills and simulation laboratories by ensuring allinstructional spaces are clean, organized, fully stocked, andprepared for faculty-led lab and simulation activities.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

The intent of this job description is to provide a representativeand level of the types of duties and responsibilities that will berequired of positions given this title and shall not be construedas a declaration of the total of the specific duties andresponsibilities of any particular position.

  • Support the academic mission of the Nursing Program bycontributing to high-quality, organized, and safe laboratory andsimulation learning environments that promote student success andskills development
  • Coordinate and support nursing skills and simulationlaboratories, including preparation, breakdown, inventorymanagement, and equipment organization to ensure instructionalreadiness for faculty-led lab and simulation activities
  • Collaborate with nursing faculty, staff, and program leadershipto support instructional needs, special projects, and continuousimprovement of laboratory operations and learning spaces
  • Demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness, professionalism, andrespect in all interactions with students, faculty, staff, andadministrators by functioning as a reliable team member andsupporting a positive, student-centered learning environment
  • Providing an unwavering example of professionalism
  • Complete any other requirements as requested by the dean

Required Qualifications – Required qualifications toeffectively perform the job. An equivalent combination ofeducation, training and experience will be considered. (Additionalrequirements may be designated by position.)

  • Associates degree (preferrable in healthcare area)
  • Knowledge of nursing/medical equipment as demonstrated byexperience in health profession
