Job summary

Black Bear is seeking a highly organized Marketing Coordinator to support planning and execution of film marketing campaigns. You will act as a junior project manager across the Marketing team, ensuring Creative, Digital/Social, Publicity, Media, and Strategy have the assets and information needed to execute campaigns effectively.

You will work closely with the Creative team to track campaign assets, manage timelines, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks from kickoff through release.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in entertainment marketing, project management, creative advertising, agency, studio, or a related field.

Position Overview

Black Bear is seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Coordinator to support the planning and execution of our film marketing campaigns. Acting as a junior project manager across the Marketing team, this person will help connect Creative, Digital/Social, Publicity, Media, and Strategy, ensuring teams have the information, assets, and materials they need to execute campaigns effectively.

The role will work particularly closely with the Creative team, tracking campaign needs and deliverables from kickoff through release and helping ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Responsibilities
Campaign & Project Management
  • Maintain campaign timelines, calendars, trackers, and key deadlines across multiple film campaigns.
  • Track deliverables and action items across Creative, Digital/Social, Media, and Strategy.
  • Anticipate upcoming campaign needs and proactively follow up with internal teams, agencies, and vendors.
  • Help ensure teams are aligned on priorities, deadlines, approvals, and next steps.
  • Coordinate marketing meetings, including scheduling, agendas, materials, notes, and follow-ups.
Creative & Asset Coordination
  • Work closely with the Creative team to track campaign assets across AV, static, digital, social, exhibitor, and other marketing needs.
  • Coordinate with agencies and vendors on asset development, versions, specifications, approvals, and delivery.
  • Maintain organized asset trackers and ensure teams have access to current and approved materials.
  • Track creative feedback and revisions through final delivery.
  • Help identify gaps in campaign materials and ensure necessary assets are being developed on schedule.
General Marketing Support
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across the Marketing team, helping information flow between departments.
  • Support campaigns from announcement through theatrical release and beyond.
  • Assist with presentations, screenings, events, competitive research, and other campaign needs.
  • Coordinate with agencies, filmmakers, distribution partners, and vendors as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in entertainment marketing, project management, creative advertising, agency, studio, or a related field.
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management instincts.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable working across teams and following up to keep projects moving.
  • Familiarity with film marketing assets, creative workflows, and agency/vendor processes is a plus.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate needs before they become problems.
  • Genuine passion for film and interest in learning all aspects of theatrical marketing.

Reports to:

Head of Marketing

The salary range for this role is $70-80K

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
