Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Management professional to oversee pharmaceutical stock, perform order processing, and maintain accurate inventory records. You will ensure timely reorders, manage reports, and support Central Fill operations.

The role requires attention to detail, reliable communication with vendors and customers, and the ability to work standard Monday–Friday schedules in a warehouse/fulfillment environment.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED equivalent required. AA degree in Business preferred.
  • 1 year inventory experience preferred.
  • Computer skills required. Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cost effective inventory of pharmaceuticals and determine reorders.
  • Receive, check, and scan orders into Central Fill system.
  • Order and receive pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Maintain daily administrative reports to manage shortages.
  • Maintain low stock items and reorder as needed.
  • Manage stock locations and inventory placements to maximize script production.
  • Maintain lot codes and expiration dates.
  • Prepare and distribute inventory reports.
  • Order and receive specialty products when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
  • Back fill other inventory responsibilities when needed.
  • Ensure Centra Fill customers have friendly experiences and issues resolved timely.

What Inventory Mgmt contributes to Cardinal Health

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for cost effective inventory management of pharmaceuticals, including identification and reporting of inventory requirements and economical reorders and returns of quantities to maintain appropriate stock levels.

  • Receive, check, and scan all orders into Central Fill inventory system.

  • Order and receive pharmaceutical supplies.

  • Daily maintenance of administrative reports to manage inventory shortages.

  • Daily maintenance of low stock items and ordering of inventory when necessary.

  • Manage stock locations and inventory placements to maximize overall script production.

  • Routine maintenance of lot codes and expiration dates.

  • Prepare various inventory reports.

  • Order and receive specialty products when necessary.

  • Effective communication with vendors and customers.

  • Back fill other inventory responsibilities when needed.

  • Ensure that the Central Fill Pharmacy customers (clients) have friendly and positive experience and that their issues and concerns are resolved timely and satisfactorily

Additional Requirements for the Position:
  • Work Monday through Friday 40 hours per week and if necessary, evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to mobilize pallets and drugs totes. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to mobilize drugs totes. Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Standing for long periods of time (4 — 8 hours), stooping, walking and ability to handle heavy case goods.

Anticipated hourly range:$18.30 per hour - $28.82 per hour
