Walgreens Co. is seeking a Coordinator, Inbound Domestic Transportation to coordinate and monitor inbound collect shipments to Walgreens distribution centers. You will track daily activity, address delays, and liaise with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.

The role focuses on cost-effective transportation, reporting, and process improvements. A minimum of 2 years in supply chain/logistics is expected, with solid Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and monitoring inbound domestic collect transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of freight to Walgreens distribution centers. Tracks daily shipment activity, proactively identifies and resolves transportation delays, and serves as a key liaison between suppliers, freight carriers, and internal business partners. Analyzes transportation performance, manages shipment visibility and exception reporting, and develops recurring reports to drive operational improvements. Participates in carrier communications, service issue resolution, and special projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitors and tracks accounts receivable and payable functions for the Tax department; audits and reports Walgreens taxes; detention, demurrage, customs exams and miscellaneous assessorial charges.
• Works with business partners to resolve outstanding issues. Meets with various business partners that support Walgreens.
• Reconciles and accrues all ocean freight charges.
• Performs in depth analysis and reporting on detention.
• Provides recommendations to streamlines existing or participates in developing new processes to increase efficiency and accuracy for various functions in the department.
• Creates and tracks import volume reports and presents reports to management team.
• Assists Managers and Supervisors with various projects, including Lean initiatives, PowerPoint presentations and data analysis.
• Works with ocean carriers and Walgreens’ Distribution Centers to minimize ocean container detention charges.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics or business role.
• Experience in logistics such as import operations, such as ocean freight, deconsolidation and consolidation.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
• Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Transportation Management System (Mercury Gate/Infios, Blue Yonder)
