Job summary

Trinity Health Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Team Lead for Financial Navigators to oversee day-shift patient access operations and staff coordination.

You will lead onboarding, assist in policy development, and help manage registration, scheduling, financial clearance, POS collections, and patient throughput while maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 3+ years of experience in patient access, pre-service or registration.
• Ability to obtain HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification within 1 year of hire.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: This is a full-time position on day shift in the Cancer Center as a Team Lead for the Financial Navigators.

What you will do:

Work cross-functionally to assist the manager or supervisor in the operations & staffing of varied Patient Access areas & activities including but not limited to, registration, scheduling, financial clearance & emergency department. Coordinate & prioritize patient flow to ensure smooth distribution of workload to the Patient Registration Representatives to expedite customer service, patient safety & patient throughput. Assist in the development of policies & procedures for patient information, wayfinding, office management, patient registration, financial screening, point of service collections, patient check-in processes & patient placement. Lead & coordinate the onsite orientation of new colleagues, is an active participant in the ongoing education of colleagues & makes recommendations to management regarding performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent / GED
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience with competency in patient access, pre-service & / or registration experience.
• Ability to obtain a national certification in HFMA CRCR & / or NAHAM CHAA within one (1) year of hire.

Additional Qualifications (preferred):

• Previous Leadership Experience
• Epic experience
• Knowledge of federal or state government agencies including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, VA or Charity Care programs, or patient management & healthcare accounts receivable within the revenue cycle.
