At Step Up, we believe girls deserve to define and pursue success on their terms. By bringing girls together in inspired spaces – on and offline – we spark exploration and discussion of what’s possible. With structured support and access to a strong community, we guide girls towards their unique goals: first, by identifying those goals and then, building the roadmap to get there.
Step Up participants are high school girls and those who identify with girlhood and young women and those who identify with womanhood (ages 14-29), who are facing systemic barriers.
Step Up is entering the first chapter of our 2027–2030 strategic plan: Step Up at 30. A Mentor for Every Girl, Everywhere. To lead the movement for girls’ mentorship, one of our key strategies is creating in-person experiences that raise awareness of Step Up, strengthen our brand and amplify our voice. The Events Operations Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and operational management of Step Up's events, programs, and experiences. This role oversees registration and ticketing processes, event operations, and stakeholder communication to ensure seamless participant experiences and successful event delivery. The coordinator partners across departments to strengthen organizational efficiency, engagement, and impact.
This position prioritizes experience in event planning, event operations, systems management, and stakeholder communication. The role sits within Step Up's Creative Team. There is a requirement for the candidate to be based within commuting distance to one of the following Step Up markets: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, New York, or San Francisco.
At Step Up, we intentionally cultivate a culture of authenticity, excellence and inclusion. We are a remote-first team working across our anchor cities, and we stay closely connected through cameras-on collaboration, shared learning and a weekly team bulletin that celebrates our wins. Our values guide how we work with each other and with the girls and young women we serve.
