New York Botanical Garden is seeking a Coordinator for Dig Plant Grow to supervise educators, support garden-based activities for children and families, and help secure the Edible Academy campus. The role prioritizes gardening and teaching experience, reliability, and teamwork in a dynamic, outdoor setting.
The position is temporary and part-time with shifts Wednesdays and Sundays from 9:30am to 5:30pm, paying $28–$32 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Director of the Edible Academy
Supervise DPG Educators as they facilitate a variety of garden-based education activities with children and families visiting the Edible Academy for drop-in gardening activities. Support volunteers contributing to the Edible Academy and complete opening and/or closing procedures to prepare and secure the Edible Academy campus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to, at minimum, stand; walk; sit; use hands, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions. Work under low, moderate or loud work conditions.

Baseline Work Schedule:
Wednesday and Sunday, from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
This is a temporary, part time role.
