Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• New York State licensed or eligible for licensure within 3 months of employment.
• ASHP-accredited Post-Graduate Year One Residency completion.
• Knowledge in Pediatrics specialty area.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Lead to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will have a chance to assist and educate pharmacists, as well as both post-graduate year 1 & 2 residents. While assisting with the pharmacy’s quality assurance activities, you’ll have a direct hand in ensuring compliance with both patient care and medical practice standards. You will also assist in the coordination of the department’s in-service trainings and employee/student education functions, ensuring the maintenance of the staff’s skill/education levels. **This is a full time Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator (Pediatrics) day shift position Monday-Friday with clinical on-call responsibilities located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.** **Preferred Criteria:*** Postgraduate year 2 ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency (Pediatrics).* Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) Certification.* One to three years of previous experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.**Required Criteria:*** Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.* New York State licensed and Registered Pharmacist or eligibility for licensure required as a Pharmacist by the State of New York within 3 months of employment.* ASHP-accredited Post-Graduate Year One Residency completion.* Knowledge in specialty area (Pediatrics)* Strong interpersonal communication skills* Ability to use software programs for word processing and data managementJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
