Work Schedule Summary: This is a HYBRID position, and will work ON-CAMPUS and VIRTUALLY, with schedules approved by the supervisor. Approximately 3 days/week on campus; 2 days/week remote. The first months will require on-campus work most days for training purposes.

Job Summary: In this position, you will grow your administrative and financial skills, paving the way for future opportunities in higher education and the private sector. You’ll serve on a small team of finance/accounting, Human Resources, marketing and administrative staff, closely led by the Associate Dean of Finance and Administration. After appropriate training, you’ll work with faculty and staff to resolve payroll issues, complete HR procedures, process timekeeping functions, resolve documentation problems, process purchasing payments and other transactions. You’ll be involved in most general accounting, finance, human resources, purchasing & payroll processes for the College of Nursing.
Although you’ll consistently have access to supervision and guidance, we will rely on you to embrace the job without being micromanaged. We’ll trust you to take action, to ask questions, to own your area of work, and to resolve issues without always being told or monitored.
This is a coordinator-level position, so someone who has been a reliable Administrative Assistant, secretary or clerk or has experience with office work would be a good candidate.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

Preferences: We’ll look at education, but also at experience. Graduation with a BA/BS degree is NOT required if you have experience (see formal requirements above).
