Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is seeking a CMM Inspector to verify engine components meet engineering specs and customer requirements. You will set up and program CMM equipment, interpret drawings and GD&T, and document results to support the quality system.

This is a 1st shift role from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, onsite in Georgia. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, assist with training, and ensure calibration of inspection tools while maintaining safety and quality standards

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years’ experience with CMM programming.
  • ASME certification preferred.
  • Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T.
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso).
  • Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.
  • Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.
  • Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all standard work, safety procedures, and quality system requirements.
  • Assist with training operators and inspectors on print reading and measurement techniques.

Job Summary

As a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Inspector, you are responsible for performing dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines and other precision inspection tools to verify that engine components meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards. This role ensures product conformity, supports production with timely feedback, and helps maintain the overall quality system. This is a 1st Shift position: Monday – Thursday 5:30 am – 4:00 pm

What You Will Do

  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso).

  • Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.
