Job summary

Green Rabbit, part of Vistar, is hiring a 2nd shift QA Associate for our Whitestown, Indiana facility. The role covers product quality checks, daily inventory, and coordination with the Returns Clerk to ensure only quality items are shipped.

Pay starts at $18–$24 per hour depending on experience, with benefits included from day one and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6-12 months procurement, warehouse and/or administrative experience in related area.
• OSHA Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality checks on designated products and manage inventory with accuracy.
• Remove spoiled or short-dated items from inventory and assist in repacking where needed.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and teammates professionally to resolve questions promptly.
• Maintain current inventory counts and support the Returns process with quality checks.
• Assist with dating checks and ensure product rotation is proper on a daily basis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the department and company.

We are currently seeking a 2nd shift QA Associate, Monday - Thursday 12:00pm - 8:30pm and Friday 10am - 6:30pm, to support our growing operations at our facility in Whitestown, Indiana. Starting Rate: $18 - $24 per hour. Depends on Experience

Position Summary

Responsible for checking quality of designated product and taking daily inventory on produce. Removes spoiled product that is short-dated from inventory and repacking full cases into smaller quantities. Responsible for quality check of all produce pick locations. Pulls for dump or salvage any produce with decay or otherwise not meeting shipping requirements. Reports any dumps or salvage to Inventory Control. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and contribute positively to profit margin; working closely with the cooler Receiving Department on perishable items.
• Communicate and interact with customers (and company personnel) and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure customers' and vendors' questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Determine quality of products returned by customers; work with Returns Clerk on returned produce quality.
• Check quality of produce and ensure: poor quality product is removed before a customer can purchase; proper rotation and quality of product on a daily basis.
• Break / repack full cases to small cases.in the most timely and efficient manner as to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.
• Check for dating issue on designated products on a daily basis. Remove any short dated and bad product from inventory.
• Keep inventory counts current.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

6-12 months Procurement, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area

1- 2 years Procurement, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area within foodservice industry
