Job summary

Parkrapids is seeking a Cooks Helper to assist the head cook in meal preparation for five hours a day, five days a week. Position starts August 31st, 2026.

You will support kitchen operations, assist in serving, maintain cleanliness, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with staff to plan menus and ensure timely service. Background checks per district policies will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings and early afternoons.
• Pass a background check as required by school district policies.
