Miguel’s Jr. is hiring for a Cook to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will prepare meals quickly and accurately while maintaining food safety and cleanliness. The role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and customer-focused service on every shift.

We value reliable individuals with strong communication skills who can handle duties such as inventory and coordination with management. No culinary degree required; experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to speak and read English; second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for customers, maintain proper levels of food for shifts.
• Follow food safety HACCP processes and ensure cleanliness of the work area.
• Maintain inventory and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Cooks Summary:

Our cooks maintain outstanding customer service in processing orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently, safeguard company assets, clean food preparation equipment and work area, and organize, load and unload inventory, and put merchandise away. Prepare food for customers, prep and maintain proper levels of food for shifts. Grill Cook tasks may include, ensuring that ingredients are stored properly and maintaining an inventory of food and other items needed for the grill station. In addition to preparing grilled foods, a grill cook may also fry, bake, or microwave meat and poultry as part of their duties. They may also cut or carve meat, assemble measure, and mix other ingredients for dishes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains food safety, HACCP process
• Daily communication with upper management
• Monitoring quality and cleanliness of food and store environment
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor Core Competencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
• Ability to speak and read English (second language is a plus). Ability to communicate effectively with external customers required.
