Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking a part-time Cooking Instructor + Team Lead Hiring Manager in Orange County to oversee and train chef instructors, schedule classes via The Dash, and ensure a positive, organized work experience for staff.

The role combines teaching 3–5 classes per week with 10–15 admin hours, offering growth to a full-time position. You’ll lead hiring, onboarding, and team meetings while maintaining CA HR compliance and a cheerful classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience managing a team and coaching others.
• Experience working with children of various ages.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and adaptability to new tools.
• Familiarity with Orange County area schools preferred.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and calm under pressure.
• Flexible and creative problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training, assignment, and support of chef instructors.
• Hire, interview, onboard, and train new staff with CA HR compliance.
• Schedule instructors via The Dash to ensure full class coverage.
• Serve as primary contact for instructors with timely, upbeat communication.
• Manage timesheets, reimbursements, and ATS processes.
• Conduct in-person class observations and provide support.
• Plan and lead regular team meetings, trainings, and events.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, and storage organization of cooking kits.
• Assist with outreach to new venues and promotional events.
• Collaborate on long-term operational strategies and growth.
