Job summary

Insomnia Cookies in South Lake Tahoe, CA is hiring Delivery Drivers to join our Cookie Crew. You are the main face delivering cookies, milk, and ice cream to fans in a timely, friendly manner, both in-store and on the road. You’ll also back the bakery team, prep orders, and keep customers smiling.

Earn $20.00/hour plus tips with on-demand pay and flexible part-time schedules. Must have a valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, smartphone, and be 18+ with eligibility to work in the United

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have own car with valid license, registration and insurance.
• Must pass a motor vehicles background check.
• Smartphone with data plan required.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of the 2-mile radius surrounding the store is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cookies, milk and ice cream to customers in a timely, safe manner.
• Check orders for quality and accuracy before leaving the store.
• Provide friendly customer service in person or by phone.
• Use Insomnia’s delivery app and provide accurate order status updates.
• Assist with packaging and organizing delivery orders as needed.
• Help ensure a positive guest experience and uphold brand standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Every shift is a mix of driving, hospitality, and teamwork. You\'ll:

• Deliver Insomnia Cookies orders safely, accurately, and with a smile
• Ensure every order arrives warm, complete, and ready to impress
• Navigate efficiently using GPS and delivery technology while following safe driving practices
• Welcome guests in the bakery and provide friendly service between deliveries
• Assist with preparing, packaging, and organizing delivery and pickup orders
• Help bake and package cookies and other treats as needed
• Operate the register and process guest transactions
• Keep the bakery clean, organized, stocked, and food-safe
• Work closely with your bakery team to keep orders moving quickly and accurately
• Help create the kind of guest experience that keeps people coming back

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver\'s license with a safe driving record
• Access to a reliable, insured vehicle that meets company requirements
• Current auto insurance that meets state minimum requirements
• Smartphone capable of running company delivery applications
• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements This position regularly requires the ability to:

• Drive safely for extended periods throughout a shift
• Frequently enter and exit a vehicle
• Stand and walk for extended periods while working inside the bakery
• Lift, carry, and transport orders weighing up to 30 pounds
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Reach, bend, twist, kneel, and carry bakery products
• Work in varying weather conditions while making deliveries
• Work around ovens, refrigeration equipment, and moderate bakery noise levels
• Communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership

Work Environment You\'ll split your time between our bakery and the road.

Inside the bakery, you\'ll work in a fast-paced environment with ovens, refrigeration equipment, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. Outside the bakery, you\'ll drive in varying weather and traffic conditions while following all safety policies and traffic laws.

Schedule Expectations Our busiest times are evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Delivery Drivers should have availability during these peak business hours. Scheduling needs vary by location.
