Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring at our Upper Dublin, PA location for Cookie Crew team members. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure accurate, warm service while baking cookies and preparing delivery orders.

You will handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented bakery environment with opportunities for growth and employee cookies benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure.
• Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy.
• Give each customer a warm experience with a smile in person and over the phone.
• Bake our cookies to perfection and a scoop of ice cream.
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out.
• Handle cash and payments accurately with no shortages or overages.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery.

Insomnia Cookies is one of the fastest growing, late-night, sweet indulgence companies in the country, and at the present time, we are actively interviewing Cookie Crew for our brand new Upper Dublin, PA location! This brand new bakery will be located at 1115 Market St, Dresher, PA 19025!

As a member of the Cookie Crew, you are the ultimate Insomniac. Not only are you the point person at the front of the store for interacting with our customers, but you also get to bake all of our awesome Warm and Delicious cookies as well!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position works in a fast-paced bakery environment that includes frequent interaction with guests, exposure to heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business.

Schedule Expectations

Our bakeries are busiest during evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Team Members should have availability during these peak business hours. Scheduling needs vary by location.

$15 - $15 an hour
