Job summary

Insomnia Cookies, Boise, ID bakery, is seeking a Cookie Crew Member to greet guests, take orders, bake cookies, and pack delivery orders with a warm, friendly attitude.

This hourly, part-time role offers flexible schedules, early wage access, vacation and sick time, pet insurance, and opportunities to grow within a fast-paced team.

Requirements include 18+ years, ability to lift up to 40 lb, and availability nights, weekends, and holidays in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure.
• Bake our cookies and package orders to quality standards.
• Prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders accurately.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary bakery throughout shifts.
• Restock supplies and assist teammates as needed.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency.

• Starting off up to $15.00/hr. DOE
• Pay-on-Demand (no longer do you have to wait until the end of the week. Get paid daily for your total shift earnings from the day before!)

As a member of the Cookie Crew at our Boise, ID bakery located at 900 W Royal Blvd, Space 2, Boise, ID 83706, you are the ultimate Insomniac. Not only are you the point person at the front of the store for interacting with our customers, but you also get to bake all of our awesome Warm and Delicious cookies as well!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Every shift is a little different, but you can expect to:

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable
• Prepare, bake, and package our warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders
• Operate the register and process guest transactions
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift
• Jump in wherever your team needs you, whether that's restocking supplies, helping a teammate, or keeping the line moving
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with your Shift Leader when needed
• Deliver the kind of experience that turns first-time guests into lifelong Insomniacs

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures
• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This position works in a fast-paced bakery environment that includes frequent interaction with guests, exposure to heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business.

Schedule Expectations

Our bakeries are busiest during evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Team Members should have availability during these peak business hours. Scheduling needs vary by location.
