Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Cooker Operator 2 to operate PLC-controlled cooking processes and monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance. You will follow GMP protocols and keep detailed operation records.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in rendering or production environments, are at least 18 years old, and able to work nights or weekends as needed. This on-site role offers stable full-time employment with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in a rendering facility or production environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate PLC-controlled cooking process within selected parameters.
• Monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.
• Blow grease lines as required.
• Clean floors and machinery; use wheelbarrows and PITs.
• Document plant operations per GMP program.
• Notify shift manager of issues or maintenance problems.
• Attend safety meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Cooker Operator 2 is responsible for the operation of PLC to control the machinery. They must monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Always conduct yourself in a safe and controlled manner.
• Blow grease lines as required.
• Clean up to include but not limited to shoveling the floor, hosing floors and machinery down, using wheelbarrows and PIT's.
• Operate the cooking process within selected parameters.
• Document plant operations per our GMP program.
• Notify shift manager of any issues or maintenance problems.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum two (2) years prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
