Job summary

KING AND GEORGE LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook food items, ensuring the highest quality service for customers. The role helps keep the kitchen organized, maintains sanitation, and follows proper food storage procedures.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

• Cook food with various utensils or grillers
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served

• Check the quality of ingredients
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

Required Skills / Abilities

• Proficient written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements
• Ability to function well in a high‑paced and, at times, stressful environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
• Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at times
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary
• Ability to hear and see, to position and safety requirement levels
• Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
