Job summary

Aramark in Lowell, MA is seeking a motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. You will cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes and production guidelines, while experimenting with flavors and cuisines in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires prior cooking experience and a solid understanding of food safety. You’ll work with fresh ingredients, maintain high standards, and contribute to a positive guest experience while benefiting from programs designed to support your health

• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods.
• Arrange and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food per safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Adhere to safety policies and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.20 to $23.20. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items


• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives


• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.


• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods


• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines


• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures


• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils


• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.


• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation


• Ensures security of company assets
