The cook maintains a clean and orderly work area.Job Description:**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*** Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, supervisor instructions, and company policies.* Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.* Operate food station, including performing station checklist, temperature log, and safe food handling procedures.* Inform kitchen leadership of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.* Monitor menu items and follow cost control policies to ensure that meals are prepared economically.* Assist in rotating and stocking items, receiving and unloading deliveries.* Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cooking supplies using proper sanitation procedures.* Pull trash from trash receptacles. Replace trash bags as needed.
