Job summary

Carolina CoPacking in Henderson, NC is seeking a Cook room associate to prepare and cook a variety of food products in a large-scale manufacturing setting. This full-time role ensures all products are cooked to perfection and meet quality standards, with weekly $17 hourly pay and a strong benefits package.

You will operate cooking equipment, monitor temperatures, label and store products, and maintain a clean sanitary environment. Weekend/overtime flexibility and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Three years cook and or food service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a food production or similar setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Able to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of food products according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain cooking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Monitor and record cooking temperatures and times to ensure food safety and quality.
• Label and store cooked food products in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory and stock management in the cook room.
• Adhere to production schedules and meet all deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
