Job summary

Las Vegas, NV – MGM Resorts International is hiring a Cook for Bellagio’s Room Service to craft exceptional dishes and deliver WOW moments for guests.

You’ll maintain knowledge of food products, operate kitchen equipment, restock, label, and assist leadership; candidates should be 18+, HS diploma or GED, 1+ year cooking experience, and formal culinary training preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred.
• Formal Culinary training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques.
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups.
• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries.

THE STARTING RATE:

26.6831 USD Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 18+ years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred
• Formal Culinary training preferred
