Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) invites applications for a Cook at McDowell Center for Children in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

The role supports patient meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner per approved menus and production sheets, with a scheduled 32 hours per week. Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, 2 years of cooking experience, knowledge of modified diets, sanitation training, and a food handler permit, plus experience with industrial kitchen equipment; on-site shifts

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking; basic knowledge of modified diets; sanitation training and possession of a food service food handler’s permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.

McDowell Center for Children (a UHS facility):

McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.
