Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital, part of The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, seeks a dedicated cook to prepare, season and cook food for patients, staff and visitors. You will perform similar or related duties overseeing quality and safety in a fast-paced hospital kitchen.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (institutional cooking training preferred) and a current Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card; prior kitchen experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal institutional cooking training preferred.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from a formal school specializing in institutional cooking preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience preferred.

• Other: Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
