Job summary

Providence Petaluma is seeking a part-time dietary services team member to prepare and serve safe, nutritious meals for patients, visitors, physicians and staff. Hours are variable to meet patient needs, and you will work on-site with a collaborative team at the hospital.

Responsible for the preparation and service of safe, healthy, nutritious, and high quality foods for patients, visitors, physicians and other hospital staff. Plans for and organizes catering and cafeteria meals. Hours are variable to meet the needs of patients and customers. Works under minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:



  • National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority within 30 days of hire.

  • Restaurant or Institutional cooking experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training - Culinary training.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
