Job Title: Cook

Location: Memorial Hermann Greater Heights - 1635 North Loop West, Houston, TX 77008. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part time, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, including rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior culinary experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not required.

Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
2. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
3. Use established ticket procedures and maintain records during service.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
5. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
6. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
7. Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
8. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
9. Maintain good working relationships and perform duties safely.
10. Follow HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and temperatures.
11. Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
