Job summary

Morada Senior Living seeks a cook for our Houston-area community to prepare hot and cold menu items across grill and service lines. You will ensure correct portions, follow standardized recipes, and maintain quality and presentation of meals for residents.

Experience in senior living is preferred; strong organization, communication, and attention to detail are essential. Weekends availability is required; benefits include competitive wages and meals provided.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a senior living environment preferred.
• Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication with team and residents.
• Ability to maintain presentation and quality of meals.
• Available to work weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items on grill, sauté, salad-bar and service line.
• Ensure proper portioning and serving per recipes and cycles.
• Taste and assess quality and palatability of meals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line;
• Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes;
• Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Senior Living preferred
• Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
• Great organizational skills a must
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
• Must be able to work weekends.
